Copy Photos from Digital Camera to iPad Directly

Written by Amit Agarwal on Jul 28, 2010

While the Apple iPad may be a perfect replacement for you netbook or laptop, it doesn’t have a USB port so you can’t transfer photographs from your digital camera to the iPad directly – you’ll have to first copy them to a computer and then use a program like iTunes to transfer them from the computer to the iPad.

However, if your camera is fitted with one of the Eye-Fi memory cards, you can transfer the pictures from the directly to the iPad over your Wireless (Wi-Fi) network.

The video above demonstrates live how images are transferred from a DSLR to an iPad wirelessly using an Eye-Fi Geo X2 wi-fi SD card and the iPad app ShutterSnitch.
