Honda Jazz CarIf you are planning to buy a compact hatchback car here in India, these suggestions / first-hand experiences shared by my friends on Twitter should help.

The various car models available in this segment currenly include Hyundai i20, Honda Jazz, Volkswagen Polo, Skoda Fabia, Fiat Punta, Fiat Linea, Ford Figo and Maruti Suzuki Ritz. We chose Jazz.

technolabsin: what are you looking for ? from this small car segment ? performance ? Efficiency ? plain value for money ? scorpion032: The i20 rocks. I almost won in a race with a merc with it, recently.
ku1deep: Jazz is a very good car jaganath_sr: Jazz, Fabia – overpriced. Punto – quality issues. i20 – Best choice. Loads of space and great build quality.
shitijbahl: Honda Jazz is a better option but more exp if money no problem then Honda else Hyundai i20 -awesome design but pathetic after sales irrexu: Why is VW Polo not in the list? Of the options you’ve presented VW Polo is the best, I would say.
geekchimp: by looks Fiat Punto nareshk: Fiat Punto if you are looking for diesel version, else Fabia is fab!
nkjain: Hyundai i20 parameters – value for money, safety, relatively low maintenance cost, low recurring expenses prsng: Hyundai recently dropped i20 prices and its a great car. Else, Fabia looks nice! Can’t speak for others yet.
gopal1035: i20 has awesome looks from any angle and in any color amitgupta: : Punto, no competition at all with any others! :) Get the diesel one if you can, its great!
shahnawazkarim: Figo indeed is a good option vinodgk: i’d say i20. it simply looks a lot more exciting than the rest of the lot.
inigofernando: I have skoda fabia ambiente petrol. So far so good. Its a no problem car. Skoda’s sturdiness is its + point. Mileage is just 11kmpl twilightfairy: none of the above :p (maruti kee gaadi lo)
gauravbhaskar: Honda Jazz, i20 – try ford figo too – u can’t leave that out by any means premrajm: Its worth to wait for a good car, but even u wait , I guess nothing beats Jazz.
Harishk: I own a Punto and it is one of the best. karth_04: i20 with the 6 speed crdi engine,..!!
monikamanchanda: Punto is really good krishnanblr: actually all the cards are too good. I would say Punto for looks, Jazz for boot space.
gmishra: I20, good performance. poeticgooner: Oh! didn’t know that, thanks for the info..I would say i20 then..
thariqcp: don’t know much on the technical side, but I would go for Jazz… :) premrajm: Honda Jazz i-VTEC,Hyundai i20 ,Skoda Fabia and then Fiat Punto … and do consider Volkswagen Polo also.
MonishNangrani: The Volkswagen Polo is worth checking out. .Even the new Ford Figo diesel or else the Honda Jazz. . surekarishav: if money isn’t your barrier then go for jazz
grprakash: None of the above. Ritz Zxi has all the features + a nice price tag GautamMahtani: if you are considering the Honda Jazz then u should also look at the FIAT Linea.
sharninder: fiat punto if you like a drivers car. surendramalu: Skoda’s after-sales-service isn’t good in India. Same with Punto (its handled by TATA) i20 is a big car with small engine.
siprasad: Punto interiors aren’t great; Heard good things about i20. Fabia isn’t Euro4 compliant & not available in major cities. Try Polo too. vkvraju: Tough choice. All are really good cars in their own rights. May be you need to decide on mileage, looks, drive, comfort, service!!
anirbanroy: for character and fun: Punto. For reliability and peace of mind: Jazz. Test drive the Polo too. nitinmunjal7: If monthly mileage is approx 1500 kms. then buy a diesel one, i20 suits best then. Jazz didn’t pull off despite being a Honda , but still a good buy if you want to go for a petrol. Fabia/Punto are failures.
jackjanik: U can go for VW Polo it has looks which will not die in years to come dpreacher: isn’t jazz a bit larger like SUV compared to others?
sharath_chandra: Hyundai I20. I own this car and I believe it has the smoothest drive quality among all the cars. i20 is ideal for city driving. thanashyam: +1 to Honda Jazz RT Friends in India, which car would you recommend – choices are Fiat Punto, Honda Jazz, Skoda Fabia & Hyundai i20
anishmg: Neither of these, I would recommend – Ford Figo 1.4 Diesel, great car to drive, good on safety and comes loaded with features bhyravan: Both Punto and i20 are equally good. You can check their detailed reviews on Team-bhp
