Uninstalling software programs in Windows is easy – just open the Add/Remove applet from the Control Panel, select the software and hit the Uninstall button.

Right? Well, that works with most software but if are trying to remove a Windows Live software from your system (like Windows Live Photo Gallery, Movie Maker, Live Mail or even Windows Live Writer), the above method won’t work as these software aren’t listed in the Control Panel.

How to Remove Windows Live Programs

1. Click Start –> Run and type appwiz.cpl in the Run box.

2. Sort the installed programs list by name and select “Windows Live Essentials”. Click Uninstall / Change.

3. Select the Live Programs that you want to remove from your system and choose Continue.

The only limitation is that you cannot remove Photo Gallery unless you install Windows Live Movie Maker since the latter is dependent on Photo Gallery.
