windows 7If you have been waiting for Microsoft to release Windows 7 SP1, the good news is that the service pack could soon be coming to a desktop near you.

The other news is that you many not have to download Windows 7 SP1 at all because you may already have most of the patches that are inside the first service pack of Windows 7 delivered to you through Windows Update.

The only addition in Windows 7 SP1 is an updated Remote Desktop client but that primarily for enterprises who are running Windows Server 2008.

For Windows 7, SP1 includes only minor updates, among which are previous updates that are already delivered through Windows Update. link.

Like all other patches, the SP1 for Windows 7 will be delivered to your computer through Windows Update and will also be be available as a standalone installer on the Microsoft Download Center for installing on all your offline PCs.
