Google joined Twitter a few days ago, much after Yahoo did, and they’ve already taken an unassailable lead when it comes to the number of followers. Google posted its first message – “I’m feeling lucky” in ASCII – on February 25th, while Yahoo posted theirs on February 9th.

Google Trends to track Diseases

Google Flu Trends uses Google search trends to track and warn people about the spread of communicable diseases. Currently it only provides US based trends for influenza, but Google plans to make it available world-wide for more diseases.
