The 4 year long marketing and co-branding agreement between East India Hotels and Hilton International has been terminated effective April 2008. As such 8 ‘Trident Hilton’ properties in India having 1900 rooms would be rebranded as ‘Trident’ while the ‘The Hilton Towers’ in Mumbai would be known as ‘Trident Towers’.

India’s largest real estate company, DLF is strengthening its hotel portfolio by adding new hotel properties to its list. After announcing a partnership with Hilton in November 2006 to build 75 business hotels and service apartments throughout India, DLF Hotels would open a luxury hotel in Gurgaon before 2010 Commoniwealth Games in partnership with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.

Unitech to partner Marriott for hotels, invest Rs.3000 crore
After DLF-Hilton and Emaar MGF-Eccor, its now Unitech which is partnering with world’s leading hotel chains for building 28 hotels in four years. Currently, Unitech has four hotel hotels under construction 2 at Gurgaon and 1 each in Kolkata and Noida, which will be operated by Marriott.
