Pencil and paper. These two tools are underrated. I use them everyday, all the time, for lots of things— reminders, notes, to-do lists, designs, sketching ideas, et cetera. I could do all that with PDAs, BlackBerrys and other such toys, but I find them cumbersome and inflexible.

If I want to draw a picture, I have to use one application and if I want to draw a flowchart, I have to use another application. Pencil and paper let me do whatever I want, and if I leave them at home, I can use another and it won’t matter at all. Link.
