As some of you may know, Twitter acquired Tweetie some time back and then renamed it as Twitter for the iPhone. While there’s no official announcement yet, a new version (3.0) of this hugely popular iPhone app is now available as a free download on the iTunes store.

The Funny Problem

I was trying to download Twitter from the iTunes store and it gave me an error saying that I need to switch from the Indian store as the app is only available in the US store.

Since I do have a US based iTunes account, I clicked the “Change store” button and that’s where things got a little funny.

iTunes was now displaying a different error and, if you read it carefully, it is just an exact opposite of the previous one.
