With SnagIt for Firefox, you can screen capture web pages while staying in the browser itself.
TechSmith today upgraded this extension to make it work with Firefox 3. The Snagit extension lets you grab web content as a still image or you can extract just text from the web page.

I use Pearl Crescent Page Saver Firefox extension for doing the same. I haven’t compared the two though.

does it require me to install snag-it first?

Yes Jansen!! You need to install Snagit first to use the functionality of firefox extension. As such firefox extension does not give you full power of snagit but though very handy to use without leaving your firefox window.
