Microsoft recently launched a preview version of their Download Center website that’s more convenient and easier to navigate than the current version.

The downside is that you should install SilverLight in order to enjoy the revamped Microsoft Download Center.
And Microsoft offers no RSS feeds for new or updated downloads posted on the Download Center but there’s a workaround for subscribing to the Download Center RSS Feed.

The new beta download center looks better than the current one but I guess it’s geared up towards promoting SilverLight! A typical Microsoft Strategy of self promotion ;-)

Silverlight is only an add-on like Flash or Java but, it is exclusive for Internet Explorer 7 users and Microsoft products.
