ACA Capture Pro is an all-in-one screen capture utility for Windows that can record still screenshot images as well as short movies (screencasts) of anything that’s on your computer screen.

Overall, an excellent application. The “screen record” feature has been particularly useful in creating end-user training video snippets for various applications. Highly recommended.
How is this better then say for example freeware tool camstudio? The more I use freeware solutions the more I think I should not pay for software. But maybe this is really great piece of software.

Is this better than Camtasia? I like Jing, too, but it is a little basic. Nice free hosting for the screen captures on Jing, though. Either way, I would love a free copy to try.

I have a copy of Snagit but I’ve actually found that it doesn’t do some effects as well as a simple paint program so I’m eager to try something new and find out if Snagit really is the best.

This is great piece of software although I have been using SnagIt for some time without any problems.
Ah, go on then. I never win anything though. Well, once, when I was nine, my parents won a package holiday to the Canary Islands in a raffle, but I think that was a fix. Sounds like a good bit of software though so… you know… pick me. Please.
The saving of flash movies convinced me it is a good tool :)

This does seem to be a great tool, but I’m wondering how much memory this will hog. I’ve tried out many different screen captor programs, and many of them seem to lag my computer during startup. Has anyone actually tried the tool? How is the user interface?
I’d love to give this program a try, but it’s fine if I don’t get registration code. I’m perfectly happy with Jing and Clip2Net at the moment. Besides, I’m sure there will be others who would benefit from this offer a lot more than I would.

Seems relatively easy and useful to use for quickly capturing screen information for compiling a collection for relevant use. Perhaps one use would be compiling a presentation slide show, or snippets for a web site…

Capturing gaming sessions or embedded flash content of web pages is definitely a unique feature. At present I use Faststone Screen Capture. Would love to try this one.
I think it’s as good as SnagIT’s screen capturing module, perhaps more good then that.

I use screengrab and snapfish addons from firefox for image captures. But this is only limited to the browser.
Something like ACA will be very useful.

The Jarte word processor also has a great little screen capture utility built in. You can capture any part of the screen, and can paste sequential captures into the Jarte RTF document, word docs, any image software, like Paint, Photoshop, etc.

ACA Capture Pro also records audio as well as video. I don’t think Snag-it does that. I’ll be looking closely at the editing features of ACA Capture Pro to see if they are match Snag-It. Thanks for the invite!
