Yellow Post-It Notes for Your Desktop or USB Drive
Windows Vista comes with a handy Sticky Notes gadget that you can place anywhere on the desktop and quickly jot down notes, shopping lists, etc. Similarly, there’s a Scratch Pad gadget in Google Desktop for capturing text notes without opening external applications like Outlook or Notepad.
Both are fairly decent solutions but if you are looking for more powerful digital post-in notes for your computer screen, consider Hott Notes - they are again free and closely mimic the real 3M Post-It Notes discussed earlier.
Hott Notes offers some unique features - you can either write normal text notes or compose a TO DO list or switch to the scribble mode and draw on the sticky note instead of writing any text.
Hott Notes provides a portable version so you can easily use the program from a USB Flash drive and carry notes where you go.
Your sticky notes stay in the background but once you invoke the Note Desktop mode - all other windows get dimmed except the notes - that makes managing notes very easy.

Drawing+To Do Type+Normal Notes in a single little app is an attractive deal.
Downloading it.
Such apps which make the “things to remember” concept systematic are good to have in digital form rather than on hard paper.
awesome piece of software…i am downloading the portable version…thanks a lot..
