Amit Agarwal quit his comfortable job in a software company to become a professional blogger. “I took up blogging full time three years ago and have not regretted the decision till date,” he says. Like popular websites, blogs can also generate a whole lot of ad revenue if they are able to attract the right number of eyeballs.
Sometimes, one is also paid for writing reviews for newly launched products in the market. The lucrative topics to write on include technology, music, books and cooking. “So far the culture of professional blogging has not really taken off in India. People usually employ it as a source of part-time income,” explains Amit Agarwal.
