If you are unable to attend the TED event live, here’s some good news – all talks at TED will be streamed live via the Internet this year so you can watch the videos from any web-enabled computer.

To get started, register yourself as a TED associate for $995 (yearly membership) and you’ll receive a unique password allowing you to enjoy the full conference from the comfort of your living room along with 10 other family members and friends.

So the actual cost turns out to be less than $100 per person.

And there’s more. As a TED associate, you’ll also receive all TED videos on a DVD set by snail mail after three months of the actual conference.

The theme of TED 2009 conference is "The Great Unveiling" – and every speaker is planning to share something they’ve never shared in public before.

I am SO looking forward to Long Beach being home to Doers and Thinkers for a week. I was just feeling The LBC was getting stagnant.

We need some new, exciting, technological pioneers to BASE themselves out of Long Beach!
