YouTube India Channel for Promoting Incredible India Campaign

youtube india videos

The Government of India has launched an official Youtube video channel at youtube.com/india.

The “Incredible India” campaign is Ministry of Tourism’s primary vehicle for communicating the wonders of India to the entire world. The Ministry is delighted to take advantage of Google’s YouTube online video platform to convey in even more meaningful ways the magnificent country that is India.

The place will be used to host video commercials promoting tourism, Indian culture and documentaries celebrating the 150 years of Indian Freedom struggle.

While the Babus are trying to use the Web 2.0 methods to woo foreign tourist, they probably need to come with more creative stuff. Read this description of the YouTube channel picked from some history textbook :

The Government of India, officially referred to as the Union Government, and commonly as Central Government, was established by the Constitution of India on January 26, 1950 and is the governing authority of a federal union of 28 states and 7 union territories, collectively called the Republic of India.
