The Windows 7 user interface was demonstrated for the first time today at D6 Conference with Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer onstage. The news created enough buzz though this Windows Vista successor is not expected to ship anytime before 2010.

Watch this video demo of Windows 7 running on a Dell Latitude XT touch-screen tablet PC. It’s like having your own Microsoft Surface computer.

Here’s another video Julie Larson Green from Microsoft giving a live demo of Windows 7 at the D6 conference.

Well, It seems that Microsoft is falling in the same mistake as with Vista: cool interface, but nothing really good in security, performance, speed… all that things that are really important in an operating system

Atleast the Windows 7 looks a little promising compared to Vista. Vista lacks performance.

I remember when vista was about to launch similar hype was created, But in the end only 40% people are satisfied, Point to be noted is 60% people still prefer xp over vista..!!

I hope Microsoft will learn from there mistake, and should release something very promising with windows7
