In this video, Tom Merrit from CNET discusses some free tools to help you surf the web anonymously without letting the destination website know who you are.
This may even help you watch web videos that are restricted in your country like The Colbert Report on Hulu which is unavailable in India or those YouTube videos.
To download the above clip, go to CNET TV.

Interesting, but whatever protocol, even Tor, slows down excessively communications. OK if you’ve got a very high bandwidth and/or for a specific task (like country restricted access here mentioned), but otherwise, and after all, why anonymity ? : Hi, my name is M** Brook** and it’s always my pleasure reading Digital Inspiration ! :)

Does this mean if you are downloading something through Azureus, or Usenet or whatever, that you are less likely to be traced?
How does this compare/relate with DNS (Domain Name Server) program?
Thank you.

Hi there,
the video speaks of tor add on from mozilla.. with that enabled , shaadi.com and google websites do not work !!!
shaadi.com seems to rely on IP recognition so that they can charge more to the users from abroad i.e. UK, USA, Australia and New Zealand and in fact they do it by checking the IP address of people logged in !!!
