Settings for High Quality Video on YouTube

If you are wondering what is the best video format and aspect ratio to upload on YouTube for high quality and sharp video, here’s the answer from YouTube staff itself:

  • MPEG4 (Divx, Xvid) format
  • 320×240 resolution (You takes a 320×240 clips and stretches it to 425×320)
  • MP3 audio
  • 30 frames per second

Videos converted to FLV flash video format with another programs(Adobe Premier, VirtualDub, Riva Encoder, Sorenson Squeeze) will be degraded by YouTube Servers, in the same way like other formats.
