S/he has a trojan.

No, but he should check for malware infections. I wouldn’t be too surprised if it’s a misconfigured server of a browser hijacker.

How is it possible ? I have never got such an error with Google. I think his PC is attacked by some sort of virus or trojan.

I had a similar message in my previous job. They used to have just one internet gateway. To servers, all clients have the same IP (it’s an usual network model).
Sometimes, when accessing Google.com I saw a message talking that the access could be from a trojan and show a captcha box.
The funny part is that doesn’t happen all the times. Very strange! Maybe Google security may have changed their code without warning. It’s similar to this message…

Better to use hijack this and see if some malware is causing it.
also check if firefox is giving same kind of issue.
Sometime while using lan, if IP addresses are not set up properly your internet might behave funny.
cheers

I wonder could it be the browser request was sent to a shared IP address (used) on a well set up server with more domains belonged to the same IP? r

Sometimes using proxies servers to setup a Lan can also cause such errors
Written by Mandeep bhangu on 05.08.08
I think the error is not related to Google, but generated by the proxy or dns server.

I would suggest Aditya to also check with his ISP and others in his area who use the same provider..

I am the one who was getting the error which has now been solved.
I am using a mac and dont have a virus and neither any trojans. I ran a virus check the entire nite yesterday and it was all fine.
In India, once you hit google.com, it redirects you to google.co.in. I was able to go to google.co.in but not google.com!!
