Google Search Homepage in Adobe Flex

Google has created a new search site called SearchMash that’s done in Adobe Flex, the same technology that powers Picnik image editor. It requires Macromedia Flash Play 9 and above in your web browser.

Yakov comments on why this new Google Web site is important - You may not know, but for many years Google was a three-language company: Java, C++ and Python. The fact that they are starting using Flex is important not because it’s yet another proof that Flex is a solid technology for RIA, yada, yada, yada. But what’s  is really important, this can serve as a signal to myriads of small software vendors,  that now will be inspired to work on what will possibly become the next killer application in Flex and maybe just maybe will get these small vendors on Google’s radar.
