Rediff iShare – Upload Music, Videos & Photos, Share with Friends

Rediff iShare is a social content-sharing platform to publish and share videos, music and photos. Rediff.com also announced a joint initiative called “Voice of Rediff on Zee Sa re ga ma pa” that will provide a unique opportunity to aspiring singers who want to showcase their voice for the extremely popular musical show, Hero Honda Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. All they have to do is upload their videos and audio files on iShare.

With iShare, you can upload Unlimited files, as you have Unlimited storage space. However you can upload only five files at a time. You can upload video files of size less than 50 MB and audio files of size less than 10 MB.

With its ability to deliver videos, audio content, iShare is expected to open up new opportunities for Indian youth to reach out and showcase their talent on the Internet. The platform will also enable professional content owners to distribute their work and reach out to a new audience offering the similar experience as delivered on any traditional medium.   

One lucky winner will be chosen from the top five short listed entries by the Hero Honda Sa Re Ga Ma Pa mentors- Vishal and Shekhar, Bappi Lahiri, Himesh Reshammiya and Ismail Darbar. The lucky winner will then get an opportunity to perform on the final episode of the show*.

To make the platform easy to use, iShare comes with a very light and easy to use utility tool which users can install on their PC’s and upload multiple files even at low-speed without having to worry about the source of the file. For example users will be able to upload pictures and videos made on mobile phones, digicam, digital camcorder and music from mp3 player like ipods etc.

With multimedia entertainment on the Internet expected to be one of the fastest growing segments online, the launch of iShare is part of Rediff’s strategy to offer consumers a complete online offering for their videos, audio files and pictures, including the unlimited storage advantage on rediffmail.
