Michael Phelps Working on a Computer Underwater

michael phelps underwater phelps laptop computer

See some SI covers featuring Michael Phelps working with his Mac laptop underwater.

They are real pictures captured at University of Michigan’s swimming pool (where Phelps was studying) and not any Photoshop job.

If you a Phelps’ fan, this edition of Sports Illustrated is also up for grabs on eBay.

Wait a minute.. the computers are NOT working obviously right :)

How cool. I only wonder how he managers to “sit” on the couch?? That is some great Promotion for Apple and for University of Michigan.

That looks more like a ThinkPad than a Mac…
And Prasoon…really?

Hahaha, not a photoshop job?
Somebody please explain a few things to me then.
When you’re underwater, your hair usually floats around your head (until you come above; then, the hair is matted). Why does his hair look so dry?
That could be explained in some ways, but explain how he managed to keep his mouth open underwater without drowning. He’s not holding his breath.
Don’t get me wrong, I do admire Phelps.
Brilliant promotion idea, though. For that, they get props.

Will CPU fan work ?

Caution- Do not try with your Laptop..You will land up in a BIG problem.

Its obviously real,.. see how he floats a bit off the lazyboy.. he just forced the air out of his lungs. You can open your mouth underwater, its not hard you dont drown. his hair isnt floating up because ITS SHORT. Cheap old computers too.

That was impossible, too interesting

Of course is real, if u are not blind and never been on a pooll before u notice the lights act different on human skin inside water(shadows more difuse, and skin more lighter) and to fake this is impossible kids…
