A Microsoft Office style productivity suite from Adobe that works both inside the desktop (offline) and the web browser (online) using AIR (Adobe Apollo) is quite a possibility according to Wired.

And this is no surprise news considering Adobe is eyeing the web space for some time now – they have already ported some functionality of their popular software on the web including Photoshop for photo manipulation and Premiere which is now used by the YouTube Video Mixer application.

A new office suite from a well-established player like Adobe, that works both in the online-offline mode, should worry players like Google who is also trying to integrate the desktop and web computing experience with Google Apps.
