NBC Universal has shut down SendMeRSS, a popular RSS to Email service, that they acquired last year from Randy Morin.
While the reasons for discontinuing the service are unclear, the relationship between NBC and Randy did end on an acrimonious note with NBC threatening legal action against Randy "for exposing the fact that they are not supporting the SendMeRSS users anymore"
Send Me RSS, formerly known as R-Mail, got lot of traction at launch because the service was first of its kind though plenty of alternatives are now available.
If you are blog publisher and syndicating content via SendMeRSS, it’s probably time to move your email subscribers to FeedBurner email or FeedBlitz.

Good luck with those alternatives. I’ve found them to be unreliable and can’t get any of them to deliver Digg feeds. Rssfwd sends me duplicate emails of most feeds but again no Digg. I have yet to receive anything from Feedmailer so I don’t think it works at all. At least SendmeRSS did what it claimed to do but I wish I had gotten an export of my feed list before they shut down. They gave no warning at all.

This is a shame! This site was great! I wish they would turn it back on. The other sites do not work nearly as well!

Let me start by apologizing. I never imagined that NBC would screw all their users when I sold them the website. I’m thoroughly embarrassed and beg your forgiveness. This is the worst nightmare of my life.

The worst part was no warning and no way to get your feeds! I just happened to notice things stopped flowing in.

Actually, I feel it is my fault. When I sold it to NBC, I did zero dudilligence. I also had a bad feeling before I pulled the trigger. But thanks for the kind words.
