हां ये अक्सर ऐसा ही मजाकिया दिखता है। इसके विकास में समय लगेगा लेकिन उम्मीद है कि जल्द ही ठीक से अनुवाद होने लगेगा।

I don’t really understand Hindi. But when I was 8 years old, there are a subject about devanagari or sansekerta (maybe it means sanskrit in english). And yes, google translate sometimes have funny translation. Don’t forget to suggest better translation :D

I dont think google has built in the context semantics in their translation system. In your sentence “main question indicator kya is missing”. You probably need to provide a sentence like “kya aap hindi samajhte hain?”. Even we humans wont be able to understand whether your statement is a question or an information if we speak it out. In writing we have ? to indicate that and in speech we have intonation patterns to provide semantic information.

Hehe, really funny… Someone teach hindi to Google ;-)

Very Funny…

LOL

They are literally translating Hindi to English ;)

I completely agree with Nitin.

Same problem occurs with Blogger blog editor when we tries to get Hindi word by A English word.

Really..check it…

actually….you should write .kya aap hindi samajhte hain?
bcoz “aap hindi samajhte hain” is not a interrogative sentence..
by putting a qustn mark after any sentence will not become a interrogative sentence….

I just verified this quirk.
I also experimented a bit.

When I tried to translate कया आप हिन्दी समझते हैं without putting a question mark the result was

What you understand Hindi

But if I add a question mark and translate it the result is
What you understand English?

Amazing!
