Rand Fishkin shares some good techniques on how to get search traffic and more inbound links to your own web pages:

1. If you have an old blog post, update the article, add new graphics and re-release the post.

2. If you have old how-to article, re-write that with latest data and push it again.

Resubmit Duplicate Web Pages to Digg again

Rand has another good tip if you like to resubmit a web page that’s already on Digg – add a # sign after the web page URL – search engines ignore these while Digg may take this as a new URL. Or use a ? sign and the do a 301 redirect via the .htaccess file.
