What do you do when there’s a new email in your inbox saying that you’ve won a few thousand dollars and all you have to do is furnish your bank details so that they can transfer the money to your bank account.
Like most smart people, you’ll see this message as another Nigerian scam and will immediately delete it without giving a second thought. Right?
Now watch this video where a London based company really wanted to give out $10,000 for free via email but found very few takers. [via]

Oh! I wish I get this prize. And yes for first time I came to know that email prizes exist. I used to think they are just SPAM. Thanks for letting us know.

Like someone said:
Someone, somewhere has found a solution to enhance size of manhood, but finding it very hard to sell it online.

Out of 100 emails only one guy replied and followed the instructions…
That means he’s the only one who’s dumb enough to believe it but lucky enough not to get screwed… anyway there’s no harm in trying it as long as you don’t give your credit card numbers…

I’m having mixed feelings on this one. I’m somewhere in between laughing my a** off and getting pissed but then who’s to blame? I guess we pioneered that type of scam.

Are you trying to say that we should respond to SPAM? I would never give my bank details to anyone!! Why do they need bank details when they are delivering cash. I do not believe this!
Written by Vyas on 12.24.09
we have finally all learned not to answer these e-mail, now the nigeria scam may get a nice push again.
Written by Marian on 12.24.09
Please don’t publish such incidents as they will encourage people to respond to spam mails and phishing attempts in the future. These will mislead the public.

I do not think it is necessary to mention Nigeria here. You could have simply said that you’ll see the message as another scam not as another Nigerian scam. This type of write-ups could get you jailed.

even if this true, dont u think amit that u should not have posted this on ur esteemed blog?
People will get really misleaded by reading this..
becoz such instances are very rare ..like 1 in a millionth opportunity…..
Plz dont post such articles!!!

I’m surprised that someone whose posts I normally respect would publish such gibberish like this. It is never appropriate to send anyone personal details…much less bank details. It isn’t a funny post…It’s down right stupid. It’s irresponsible to even give it authority from your pages.
Written by phil on 12.26.09
Yes, giving is glorious but this is ridiculous. These two a**holes should be fined those 10.000 or put in jail for a while. Giving your bank details is absolutely dangerous and has nothing to do with helping or giving.
And I don’t believe Amit made any mistake in publishing this. If this was for real, UK authorities should do something about it and we must remember there`s always a stupid idea waiting to be promoted.

insane…absolutely insane…I almost am compelled to believe that is just completely fake but I believe it….
