The best part in the video is the conversation that John had with his dad (via phone-a-friend) as he was about to create history in US by becoming the first millionaire winner – and he didn’t use any of the lifelines. The episode aired in 1999 but worth watching nevertheless.

I remember that night. I never really watched the show, but I happened to turn on the TV while I was doing something else and it was at this exact moment. It was super exciting.
