The Logo Designs of YouTube and Airtel - Separated at Birth?

youtube airtel logo

Bharti Airtel is the largest cellular service provider in India while YouTube, a Google subsidiary, is the largest video sharing site in the world.

Am sure this is purely coincidental but the logo designs of these two very popular brands do bear a striking resemblance including the logo tag-line.

First spotted by Pratham who earlier wrote about the unofficial Wikipedia API.

I bet we all have seen both these site logos many times. But we never did emphasize on the similarity between them…interesting.

Well its just as you might think. If you research more you will find many such cases. You are just watching the similarities. Watch the differences. They are more different than similar.

Youtube have trademark, Airtel doesn’t have it.

pratham having hawk eye! guy…lol doesn’t seem like a coincidence…

I think its more a result of a the popular logo design of two colors for two parts of the logo. See logos of Just Dial, Studyplaces.com, Indepay etc to see what I mean. It just happened that in this case both chose to pick the same color combination

Interesting find Amit!

@#6 — I doubt it.. Airtel being such a big brand.. they would have had copyright on the logo and tagline as well. i believe Airtel would have adopted the logo and tag line much before YouTube did!
