Reference Chart: Internet Acquisitions made by Yahoo, Google, etc

Acquisitions by Internet companies

Amy Webb is tracking all the acquisitions made by Internet giants like Yahoo!, Google, Microsoft and AOL. No wonder, the red block corresponding to Google occupies the maximum estate.

A high-res version of the "Who Owns What" chart is available for download as a PDF or a JPG image so print and pin it to your cubicle wall - handy if you cover the digital media landscape on your site. Thanks Lee and Steve.

Hello.

Its really amazing that so many companies have been acquired by the internet giants.

But i feel some of the acquisitions made are over valued. Where are some of the acquisitions are very profitable for the companies.

The most surprise bid was from microsoft to acquire YAHOO! INC.

We have to wait and see whether yahoo board will accept the bid ?

Amit, I don’t agree with your comment “No wonder, the red block corresponding to Google occupies the maximum estate” because the the Microsft acquisitions listed are post-2005 only.

And I agree with Kevin that the list seems incomplete

Nonetheless, interesting …..
