Some Orkut Members Do Not Like Dogs, PETA Doesn’t Like This
Orkut has close to a thousand communities that are about “dogs” - 99% of these “dog” communities are about loving the animal but there’s one that says “I hate dogs”. (see screen-shot)
This has enraged animal rights group PETA and they have now asked Google to delete such content from Orkut and ban the community.
That’s not all - they have also called the Indian police to take action against Orkut members who are part of the “anti-dog” group and have admitted (in Orkut forums) to acts of violence against dogs.

That’s really weird. I mean… if a member is joining a group, it’s absolutely his wish and will right?
“I hate Dog” community doesn’t actually do any harm to dogs. They are just expressing their views on dogs, so what’s the problem with PETA?
I honestly don’t understand why people get so offended by a simple community on orkut. Everyone thinks that any anti-something community should be taken down. Any anti india community is bad, any community degrading a symbol is bad.
quite frankly orkut’s terms of statements say they’re not responsible for this sort of thing, and they expect the police to track down each and every one of those people and for what? frickin dogs?

I too have no problem with people hating dogs, but when a community starts to instigate killing dogs, then there is a problem (not only is that against the law, its also wrong morally).
Thats what happened with this community.
Thilak: I’ve heard rumours that some of the members of that group eat dog meat, and others perform acts of perversion with dogs. These may not be entirely trustworthy reports, but they should be investigated.

There atleast a thousand hate communities in orkut. including 6 “we hate ….” communities which shows a burning national flag. No one wants to delete them. On the contrary people are more adamant on deleting “we hate dogs” community. Well, i am left without any words..
Just visited that community. Man, some guys r really having some real issues with dogs! One guy who call himself “hate” sounds like he is having some mental problems. He posts link to the pics of the dogs he killed and announces that he will do it again! Thats really devious. Any by the way the community owner renamed it to “We dont like dogs” and changed the display pic.
excuse me !! have u read the kind of stuff these ppl have been writing abt dogs ! thts the kind of things only sickos discuss !! so u know what guys - its not abt the i hate thingy … its abt the kind os wierd stuff those ppl have been talking abt
