What you see in this video is no religious or political gathering. Its a very large group of Chinese students trying to learn the English language.
The Chinese take English lessons in large groups and shout (pronounce English words) together; this helps them overcome their shyness (everybody is doing it, so nobody is embarrassed).

Hi, I am a Filipino. Philippines is the third largest English speaking country in the world.

I Love it! Reminds me of when I was in China training English teachers and this was all the rage. Brings a smile of those fond memories.
Confidence is something to be grown and if students feel that this helps them - then all the better.
By all means, this is only ONE facet of their English learning. It’s the same with non-Chinese speakers learning to speak Chinese.
Thanks for the video. Love it!

yes. Its true. Its like “Survival of the Fittest”. They have to learn otherwise it’s bit difficult for them to compete with other developing countries like India. I think We (Indian’s) should also learn a lesson from this.

We already speak great English. Our education system kicks ass and that’s why the Americans are taking cues from us. So Prasutha, chill, we’re doing well. And we’re doing it on our own. I don’t think we need to learn methods of teaching English from elsewhere. We’re pretty much setting standard here.

Well said mosi!
Indian English is terrible—-when they speak it’s like they have got a big mango in their mouth…extremely unclear.
And they like shaking their heads when talking as if they are superior to you.

Bad luck I cannot see the video.
But I must say that’s only one means in our English studying.
And we learn English not only to compete with other developing countries, but also communicate with other peoples and countries!
