Adding voice narration during screen recording can be difficult; reading a script or improvising narration while using a computer at the same time is a challenging task. Recording voice narration during the editing process can save lots of time and make creating great screen recordings easier.
There are two important features in Camtasia Studio 4 that make adding narration to your screen recordings simple. When recording narration, it is possible to extend the current frame, “pausing” the playback while you record your voice. This feature ensures you have plenty of time to speak without feeling the need to rush.
To extend the current frame while adding voice narration, hit the Extend Current Frame button. Hit the button again when you are ready to resume video playback.
The other feature to keep in mind when adding voice narration is the Auto-extend last frame checkbox. Checking this when adding voice narration will automatically extend the last frame of your recording while you narrate, allowing you to end your recording when you’re done speaking.
