Google, which recently replaced its 8 year old favicon with a lowercase g favicon, has done it again. This time the favicon is a white lowercase g with the colors red, green, yellow and blue in the background.

According to Marissa Mayer, this favicon was inspired by the design submitted by André Resende, an undergraduate student at the University of Campinas in Brazil.
