Designer Indian Saree Inspired by Google Search

google-search-sariThis Google Saree from Satya Paul, a fashion designer in India, costs around $300 and carries a print of the Google search results page.

They call this sari “Oogle” (replacing the “G” in the Google logo with “O”) maybe to prevent any trademark issues with the search company.

Don’t expect women in India to wear these Google sarees but it may be a good attire for booth girls in trade-shows where the saree print may show Google search results for the company / brand they are promoting – its like AdSense for Clothing.

This is years old photo. Why this sudden curiosity by you & Amit Varma ?

Excellent!. But where is the “I’m feelin’ lucky” button? ;)

adwords — but vat do u count, the chuckles or views or oohs&aahs from males ;-)

.. the model gets 50% of revenue generated by the adwords !!

That’s cool!!.

And your idea is even great,Amit!!.

her blouse is not a perfect match for the saree…

“Oogle” sounds dangerously close to “ogle”. And I wouldn’t think highly of any company which made only female employees wear their Google search..

Google is everywhere, even in sarees…

Amit, you have a thumbnail of the same picture in the same post. Do you add scuh thumbnails for the emails..?

I wonder if any [respectable] Indian woman would bother wearing this. :\

Interesting Saree :), even better the comments by all. I don’t know if there are no IPs involved. Even though the search result are used, but still he has reproduced Google search page on Saree!

what the fish?

LOL, I’m Feeling Lucky~

Fun to see this Ooogle front page printed to make a clothes. It will be a great idea to have trade show staff[lady] wear this clothe if Google having a computer show in India.

This could make a good uniform for google female employees
I dont see any originality in the design. Plagiarism by big designers?

Reeks of a publicity stunt. I’m pretty sure, just as it was meant, Oogle, does sound like ogle. Would be curious to see if Google took an exception to this. If not maybe it’s good for their PR ranking ;-) ..

It’s really great..Truely I liked the color combinations of this saree and the way Ooogle is looking on Aanchal.it’s a good idea of a uniform in a traditional way.

They call this sari “Oogle” (replacing the “G” in the Google logo with “O”) maybe to prevent any trademark issues with the search company.

Oogle means ’searching google for love’.
