Gmail today upgraded its rather unimpressive “View as HTML” PDF view feature to a full featured PDF viewer complete with layout, graphics and fonts. Every PDF file now can be previewed via the “View” link or downloaded via the “Download” link.

The PDF Viewer, which is not Flash based unlike other PDF viewers, seems to be part of Google Docs, which also now allow PDF viewing online. The best part, however, is that it allows you to select text.
