BlogTV and Ustream.tv are new services that allow anyone with a webcam or a video camera to record and broadcast live video on the internet. It’s like creating your own news channel online on a shoestring budget.

Wired writer Adario prefers BlogTV over the more popular Ustream video service. Here’s why:

The three major differences that stood out for me with BlogTV were presentation (the site looks fantastic), a faster/smoother live chat feature and the ability to co-host shows (two users can broadcast simultaneously side-by-side to create live conversations or shows).

Live video has a lot of potential, but BlogTV appears to have the solution “now” that allows one to leverage that potential better than any other site.
