As a tribute to this great man I am not using any Google product for today!

Surprisingly, since morning I am able to do all my job with ease without using Google.

That is weird… Its not the time to mock Bill Gates. Afterall, its Microsoft that made computers accesible to everyone. If there was not Microsoft, then probably there wont be Linux at all… maybe they wont be this popular.

And how did you first learn computers..? On a Microsoft Windoes 3.1.. right..? or maybe on Windows 95. What you did in here does not look like a tribute to your first teacher. Please remove the picture.

Not a good thing for a reputed blog like this one, to put a photoshopped image of Bill Gates recommending to use Linux. !

If Bill was not there almost 90 % of us wont be using PCs like we do today.

All said and done Linux ( the desktop version ) is not way close to windows of today. For a average user still windows is the recommended OS.

I agree, Amit has every right to make his thoughts in his blog. But, i don’t think anybody can change the history . You can very well make a new and better future using Ubuntu or whatever. But you wont be able to change the History – History of Computing, that is. The place of Mr.Bill is higher there than anyone else.

Anyway, I don’t think it is a good idea to post such a forged image of bill gates even if its a pure joke.

As a person who worked both in *NIX platforms for years, precicely said – AIx, HP, SCO and many flavours of Linux, I strongly belive that with out the Microsoft or Billgates, the computing wont be this much easler and popular. i worked and built many medium to large softwares in both Unix/Linux and Windows. out of that, the windows is simply amazing, and its a revolution in computing era.

So please give respect to this legend in computing. he may be a business man, but still he deserve a lot of respect and consideration.

I love microsoft, the same way as i like *NIX.
