If you are looking for some offline resourcs to learn CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), here’s an offer that you should not miss.
The Art & Science of CSS is a good CSS book (read reviews at Amazon) packed full of practical examples. You’ll learn about CSS techniques like making rounded corners, creating navigation tabs, styling web forms and list, designing web page backgrounds with images and so on.
The book costs around $40 but you can download this for free as a PDF ebook. All you have to do is either follow @sitepointdotcom on Twitter or put your email address at SitePoint.com.
If you are worried about sharing your email, go with the twitter approach – as you soon as follow sitepoint, they’ll send you a direct message with a link to download the free CSS book.
This is Sitepoint’s second giveaway – earlier they had offered a Photoshop ebook for free.
Update: Here’s a direct link to download the eBook. It’s about 24 MB in size.

Is it right to show the direct link to download?
They give it free, so that they can increase no of followers at twitter and no of subscribers of their newsletters. And also they show some advertisements and ask the users to visit one or two to support them.

Dear Amit, thanks a lot for this post. I was really looking for a css study manual, when I saw your post in the google reader. Great work. Followed, and the book link is found. only trouble is the size of it.

Amit,
As Pecciola has pointed out in the first comment i feel it is really unethical to put the direct link in here. They are doing it to increase their subscriber base and the very purpose of all their efforts gets spoiled just because DI readers get it without doing one of the two tasks which Sitepoint asked in lieu of the ebook.

Giving a free ebook is worth, when they will get tons of followers and subscribers.
