Computer Tan, promised as a radical new technology to convert your ordinary Computer Screen to a tanning device, has predictably turned out to be a hoax.

The Computer Tan system, that claimed to work by “converting the electrical impulse delivered to your PC to radiated UVC rays”, was so convincing that 30,000 people visited the website in just 24 hours to register their interest.

It now turns out that Skcin, a UK skin cancer charity organisation, was behind this hoax to promote skin cancer awareness.
