WordPress Downloads Cross the 3 Million Mark

WordPress self-hosted software has been downloaded more than 3 million times from the wordpress.org repository. I was lucky enough to watch this live when the ticker moved to that magical 3,000,002 mark.

At exactly 9:25 PM PST today, the download counter at WordPress touched the 3 million mark.

That means WordPress 2.6 self-hosted software has been downloaded more than 3 million times from the wordpress.org repository. I was lucky enough to watch this live when the ticker moved from 2,999,992 to that magical 3,000,002 mark.
