Reuters had a chat with Dan Lyons, a senior editor at Forbes, who writes the Fake Steve Jobs blog which is read by the likes of real Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. The blog was earlier known as “The Diary of Steve Jobs”.
I call Bill Gates “Beastmaster” and I’ve had Microsoft people writing in for months saying they love it. I call (Wall Street Journal columnist) Walt Mossberg “Goatberg“, but Mossberg is making a million bucks a year at the Journal, he can deal with someone making fun of him.
There have been things that do cross the line. I look at those now and say “Oh”. But with the blogosphere you can’t take it back, it’s out there. Link
