Problogging: How to Become a Successful Professional Blogger

Can you imagine quitting your 9-to-5 job and make a comfortable living by writing blogs ? There are tons of people who have done so are and are happy with their decision to become full time professional bloggers.

Michael Pick, who works with the very-talented and energetic Robin, is one such person who took the plunge and left the job as a HR person to blog full time from his home.

Mike offers some tips for people who have decided to follow the road to becoming a professional freelance blogger:

Go beyond press releases - there are a lot of pro-bloggers that get by fine rewording press releases and hitting the publish button. If you take things to the next level, however, you will eventually be noticed for what you personally bring to the equation.

Forget your fears - don’t aim low when looking for a story or making a blogging connection. You’d be surprised by how easy it is to reach out to the big guys if you have the passion and something worth saying.

Immerse yourself in social media - if you don’t already have a blog, a Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, OpenID, LinkedIn or Flickr account you are missing out on some great opportunities to learn the latest news and make some great connections.

Interesting thoughts. The good one is the quality, orginality and individuality of the contents. I agree that to differentatiate between journalists and blogger, blogger has to go beyound jorunalism level. Though it needs lots of self adjustment and proactive research. Well thought out to the point ideas. Keep it up and thanks,
