Facebook Status ("What are you doing right now?") is a quick way to broadcast some message to your entire network of Facebook friends.
Inspired by Facebook, LinkedIn too has added Status Updates that say – "What Are You Working On?".
When you update the status, it will be displayed on your LinkedIn profile. You can either display status to only your contacts or the entire LinkedIn network. Thanks Shweta.

I wonder how can he automate this without loggin in linkedin?
My facebook status is automatically updated when I post something on my twitter page. so I hope linkedIn would allow such feature on it too. :)

You can use ping.fm to update just about every app on the web. I use it to update twitter, facebook, myspace, xanga, and flickr. I just found out today it will also update linkedin.
