Vodafone entry good news for battery makers

Vodafone’s entry into Indian market has not only heightened expectations about the quality of the service and network but has resulted in unexpected gains for battery makers.

Sensing the tough competition ahead and rising demand, all big telecom players are undertaking huge network expansion thus resulting in a big surge in battery usage.

Reliance Communication has gone for a network expansion, while Bharti Airtel is beefing up and broadening its network.  BSNL has also gone for mobile network expansion while Vodafone-Essar combine is increasing its network in rural areas, thus providing a huge opportunity for the battery industry.
