HP Snapfish in India - Order Digital Photo Prints Online

online photo prints india HP today launched Snapfish in India, a service for printing digital photos online.

Other than printing digital images and photo albums, Snapfish lets you order personalized photo gifts like T-Shirts, photo greeting cards, ceramic mugs, large posters, Key chains and more.

Like with all other online photo print services, you first upload your pictures to the Snapfish website (via web browser or email), pay using Credit Card and the photo prints (or gifts) are delivered via Courier in 3-5 days depending on your city.

Picsquare and iTasveer are other solid players in the Indian market but with the entry of a brand like HP, things are likely to get more exciting.

For starters, HP has introduced photo prints at the lowest price - a 4″x6″ print costs INR 2.95 while Picsqare charges Rs 2.99 and iTasveer Rs 4.50. The shipping charges range between Rs 30. and Rs 40. Printed T-shirts, another popular photo gift, cost the same across all services at Rs 399.

Cons - HP Snapfish however offers limited payment options - it won’t accept Paypal, Internet Banking or Cheques/Drafts. And there’s no option to directly import and print your Flickr or Google Picasa web photos via SnapFish without downloading them to your desktop.

Exciting times. However, I am still waiting for sticker printing service in India like Moo that turns your Flickr images into photo stickers.
