Vodafone brand to dominate media in coming days

Vodafone AdThe coming days could witness a huge wave of advertising blitz on television, newspapers, internet and outdoor media as brand ‘Vodafone’ replaces the ‘Hutch’ brand. 

As a result of this transition, Hutch’s three deep pink stars logo would be phased out to pave way for Vodafone’s trademark deep red speech mark logo.

Vodafone would position itself differently from Hutch as portray itself as a young and fund brand. Though in all likelihood, it would retain the pug and actor Irfan Khan that has become synonymous with Hutch ads.

Vodafone’s CEO Arun Sarin would be coming to India to unveil the media campaign and also attend its first board meeting. The budget for the campaign has been set at around Rs.400 crore of which major contribution would be spent on outdoor media.

As per newspaper reports, Vodafone has bought huge ad spaces on several channels on Star, Sony and Zee for the first day of its brand launch.
