After DLF-Hilton and Emaar MGF-Eccor, its now Unitech which is partnering with world’s leading hotel chains for building 28 hotels in four years.
Currently, Unitech has four hotel hotels under construction 2 at Gurgaon and 1 each in Kolkata and Noida, which will be operated by Marriott. Another 10 will be under construction by the end of the year.
Unitech also has a partnership with Carlson hotels and owns and manages two Radisson hotels at Delhi and Varanasi.
The trend is fast catching up with hotels being constructed mostly by real estate companies. This is because there is shortage of land while real estate has huge unutilised land banks available with them in prime areas.
