TV18 ventures into Event Management biz

TV18Raghav Bahl, the seasoned media moghul, has floated a new division, E18 to further expand its portfolio and come a step ahead of ruling the Indian media and entertainment space. The new company would work under sync with other TV18 companies and aims to be the leader in the field of ‘live entertainment’.

With the growing western mix, increasing consumption patterns on entertainment, more channels and companies coming out with their own awards and prizes, the number of live entertainment shows have risen, thus creating space for new players and with TV18’s brand, the company is surely going to get benefited.

Another market which the company would cater to is the organisation of large conferences and seminars. This segment is attractive as Indian companies and MNCs are spending more on these activities than even before as it becomes a tool for launching new products, organising dealers meet, showcasing ideas, coupled with recreation and entertainment.

With very few players having a good brand recall and national presence in this segment, TV18 would benefit from this startup and gives a fillup to its future growth actvities.
