The 30 year old famous textile brand ‘Vimal’, more remembered for its tagline ‘Only Vimal’ is being re-launched by Reliance Industries.
The company is setting up a nationwide retail chain selling fabric and garments and has tied up with an English architect with expertise in retail concepts.
Reliance plans to make Vimal a ‘complete family brand’ by introducing dresses for women and children. It has even roped in services of Italian designers to teach Italian designs for trousers and jackets to Indian tailors.
Reliance has also tied up with Minova, an English company to source all-wool fabrics, especially made for the Indian market.
With Reliance Retail plans gathering steam, there might be a possibility that once the retail operations are fully streamlined, the operations of Vimal retail chain gets fully integrated with Reliance Retail.

This is good news, the very old VIMAL is back.
after the success of reliance fresh, and soon opening of other reliance supermarkets, this was the only area left.
